Sixteen Drawings Series
Sixteen Drawings documents everyday life through looking at the popular issues of today. Stock imagery associated with politicised areas of discussion such as the economy and culture are removed from these divisive contexts, and the drawings that result from this inquiry show a diverse and visually engaging version of society.
Agency and the Everyday
This series explores how much choice we have over aspects of our lives. Sometimes we decide freely to act, and sometimes we are acted upon by expectations, habits or necessity. Whichever combination of factors lead to our decisions, it is these choices which make up a great deal of our everyday lives.
The Wall at Work
This series is a trio of images that appear on a stereotypical workplace wall. From the benign to the contentious, images like these often accumulate on empty wall space. These pictures speak of the culture and interests of the employees, and the character of workplaces across the country.
Sink
Taken from carefully calibrated reference photographs, these drawings match the exact eyeline which the average person looks along whilst stood using a sink. These images anchor the viewer in a hypothetical space, and impress an importance upon the most mundane aspects of our lives.
